Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

1. Who you are contracting with. These Terms govern your use of Contrax (the "Service"), operated by Contrax Inc. ("Contrax", "we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

2. Merchant of Record. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

3. Service description. Contrax provides tools for homeowners to evaluate contractor quotes, generate contracts, track projects, and connect with verified contractors. Contrax is an information platform. We do not perform contracting work, and we are not a party to any agreement between homeowners and contractors.

4. Payment & subscriptions. Paid plans renew automatically at the interval selected until canceled. Billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.

5. Acceptable use. You will not: (a) use the Service unlawfully; (b) submit false information about yourself or contractors; (c) interfere with security controls; (d) scrape, resell, or redistribute contractor data.

6. AI outputs. AI-generated pricing analyses, contracts, and messages are informational aids, not legal or professional advice. Users are responsible for reviewing all outputs before signing, sending, or acting on them.

7. Intellectual property. The Service, including its software, brand, and documentation, remains our property. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service.

8. No warranty. The Service is provided "as is". We do not warrant that pricing comparisons, license lookups, or generated documents will be error-free.

9. Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the prior 12 months. We exclude indirect, consequential, and special damages.

10. Suspension. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, fraud, security risk, or repeated policy violations.

11. Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
